在當代藝術語境中，聲音藝術與音樂創作人往往被期望以新元素鬆動作品與媒介的邊界，而在實踐跨媒介特性時，對表現過程中的複雜性與難度有高度要求（如借助應用軟件系統等技術）。若藝術家摒棄種種期待與要求，純粹回歸自己的步伐、節奏與進程來實驗聲音，又如何？

今次（新）場域定聲之《一旁鍵域》，請來兩位音樂背景南轅北轍的創作人——馮靖川（Kawa Mori Fung）和張浩銘（Felix Cheung），一同探索聲音藝術的可能性，帶來一次想像與實驗聲音的場域。Kawa會以「Scene」軟件為基礎，進行現場即興與迴圈的編曲；Felix則實驗與空氣粒子互動，並連結資料藝術與視覺元素，探索聲音的可能性。

🎨關於藝術家

馮靖川（Kawa Mori Fung）

多樂器演奏者與多語言創作歌手；專注探索爵士、爵士融合、City Pop、獨立音樂及旋律性音樂等風格。@kawa_mori_111

張浩銘（Felix Cheung）

作曲音樂人；其表演藝術遊走於當代音樂與爵士即興及實驗性舞台音樂之間。現為香港中⽂⼤學⾳樂作曲系博⼠⽣，師承李允琪教授。張集中研究⾳樂會表演中的不同元素，以創造沉浸式⾳樂會體驗，近年亦積極探索將將環境音樂融入其多媒體作品。@contemporary_bluesboy

🔍關於 （新）場域定聲

重新演繹艺鵠【場域定聲】系列，目標為藝術家提供一個實驗聲音與空間想法的創作的平台。表演以外，討論環節亦是另一個焦點，讓藝術家及觀眾分享相關創作過程與想法。

In the contemporary art context, sound art and music are increasingly intertwined, as creators are expected to push the boundaries of their practice by incorporating new elements. On the other hand, the interdisciplinary nature of today's art practices often demands high levels of complexity, frequently relying on technological systems and software. But what happens when an artist returns to their own roots in composition – experimenting at their own pace and progression?

In <Out of octaves> of the (nu) sound-on-site series Kawa Mori Fung and Felix Cheung, artists with distinct musical backgrounds, seek to create an imaginative site for sound, opening two unique directions of experimentation.Fung will engage in free improvisation and loop-based composition through scene-based applications, while Cheung will investigate new sonic possibilities by interacting with air particles, linking his work to data art and visual elements.

The performance will be followed by a chit-chat session.

🎨About the artists:

Kawa Mori Fung is a multi-instrumentalist and multilingual singer-songwriter, whose work spans jazz, jazz fusion, city pop, indie, and melodic music.@kawa_mori_111

Felix Cheung Ho-ming is a composer and musician who explores a wide variety of performing arts, ranging from contemporary music to jazz improvisations and experimental theatrical performances. He is currently pursing his doctorate in composition atThe Chinese University of Hong Kong under the mentorship of Professor Lee Wan Ki Wendy. His research investigates the diverse elements that shape concert performance, integrating them into new compositions designed to create immersive experiences for concert-goers. In recent years, he has also expanded his practice into ambient music, composing for multimedia projects that explore sound in innovative contexts.@contemporary_bluesboy

🔍About 【(Nu) Sound-on-Site】

By re-imagining and re-interpreting the series of the same name presented by ACO, 【(Nu) Sound-on-Site】provides artists with a platform to explore and experiment with ideas related to sound and spatial practices. In addition to live performances, each program will include a discussion session to foster deeper engagement with the creative processes and artistic ideas behind.
