Address: ACO, Foo Tak Building, 365-367 Hennessy Road, Wanchai

The publication of Artworks 1997 – 2014 brings together the various artworks, including painting, installation, and sculpture, of Chris Cook created over the years in Leicester, London and Hong Kong.

The publication of the book seeks to give the viewer an insight into the development and evolution of her work over the period, from the sights, sounds and smells of Hong Kong and the influence of Chinese culture, through to expressions of a greater freedom and Western influences combining with the ever present Asian background.

In addition to reproductions of her work and accompanying text, the book features a contribution from the Los Angeles based author and critic Jeremy Gilbert-Rolfe, as well as photographs by the internationally renowned British photographer Michael Freeman.

About Chris Cook

Based at her studio in north London she continued to produce artwork and exhibit in the capital. Over the years she still maintained contact with Hong Kong, with regular visits and time spent here. In 2011 Chris re-located back to Hong Kong and has been concentrating on producing a new body of work.
