Phoebe Man’s Socially Engaged Art Book Launch
Phoebe Man has created nine series of socially engaged art within 4 years (2012-6). They are related to issues of sexual assault, housing problem and politics. There were more than ten thousand participants of these projects. These nine projects have been complied to a book with her own as well as the participants’ reflections and also about how her strategies of making socially engaged art changed over the period. The book launch has invited Chan Yuk Keung and Phoebe Wong as guests to discuss Phoebe Man’s works and the observation and reflections of socially engaged art in Hong Kong.
